Any Hockey Fans Here?
#1
My LA Kings just came back from a 4-0 deficit with 8 minutes to go on the 3rd againt Dallas of all teams . Stars were 30-3-1 last season when leading after two periods and 6-1-3 this season.

I can't believe I passed out on the begining of the 3rd and thank God for Tivo.

Any puckheads here?

Let's go Flyers!

I can actually say that this year without covering my face first.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

Nothing to be ashamed of Headley as the Flyers went from an awful team last year to right back in business.  Most teams aren't so lucky to turn it around in such a short time. I love the way Forsberg came back to help amend the "trade" and you guys got pretty good value for him at the deadline + pillaged Nashville in the off season. It never hurts to add a very good goalie in Biron and a solid blue liner in Jason Smith and you also picked up a good kid this draft in James VanRiemsdyk. He should fit the Flyers style.

The Atlantic Division is going to be a fun one to watch this year with the Pens and Rangers much improved.

Confusedhock:

Chin up, Rob.  They're better this year than they've been in quite a while.  Teddy Nolan has a way of bringing out the absolute best in players.  Just look at the Sabres team he took to the finals against Dallas.  Other than Hasek, who was on that team? Brian Holzinger.  Derek Plante.  Michael Grosek. Curtris Brown?  Seriously.  Nolan is a helluva coach.

Charles Wang and Garth Snow on the other hand... :?  Sorry.  They just stink.

I know this is an old post, but maybe I can revive a little hockey chat!  I'm a big Predators fan (and an old Nashville Knights fan before that).  The new ownership has already made a major impact.  We had our first sellout ever last night!  And the team hasn't even been playing well until just the past couple of weeks.  The great news is that, even though we're last in our division, it's a very tight division right now so we could easily make it up to 2nd place over the next few games if we keep playing like we have been over the past couple of weeks (won 6 of our last 8).

I'm still hoping that we can find a way to grab another goal scorer or two now that we have new ownership and a little more flexibility with our payroll.
