tafdom Wrote:Jeht, I would have to bet that our favorite shop inVegas got 50. I talked to a owner in texas that got 12 and 2 boxes of the woa maduros and 18 of the Anejo sampler, they were awesome. He told me he was a level 4 5 or something Opus account. He has a 20k sq foot store and moves a bunch of product. It could be a keypunch error like my guy in Texas. He has a small store and gets 8 ESG every month and does not sell that many and gives them to me. It could be many things, but it still happens. The 3 I found the owner wanted me to take all of them, but out of respect to him and his customers, I didn't. I don't know about the other board, but I do know who my hunt went. I left my # with 14 shops that had not seen them yet and they promised to call me if they saw them.
I didn't know there was a sampler. Does any one have any info on it?
It's one of each and I think they were 120 Real nice carved box to.

Thanks Taf!!  Smile

I'll have to keep an eye out for them now too!Big Grin
We have these samplers up here they have 2 anejo in them and a mix of other Fuente cigars for $99

NO problem jay. I just didn't think your account of how you got the boxes matched up, that's all. Later, I was backing up WHY I asked the questions I asked originally. I wasn't trying to be a smart ass and I really don't care if you have a hundred boxes I just had a question. I got MY answer or opinion and now I'm letting it go. No problem bro happy smoking.

How could they get to the point where they get THAT many boxes when tinderbox or my local guy who has been around since the early 70's only gets a couple if any? Fuente like all places are about the bottom line and if you aren't selling "x" amount of the regular stuff AND have a great relationship with the rep...it ain't going to happen. Especially, if your not selling the special release stuff. Why would I give a liquer store that can't sell one, seven or eight boxes? Then turn around and only give tinder box two to three and they have ten times the volume of the liquer store?!

barbourjay, didn't you state on another board that you bought five boxes from members there and later sold two?Not adding up to me

edit to add: Why buy so many if your going to sell them? You said you buy so many so that you can smoke more.

Also taf, I don't think any B&M got thirty boxes.

The lady that owned it had a small walkin 2 foot deep and 7 foot long with 5 shelve. Everything she had was Fuente, that was the only cigar account she ever had. The first time I went there, all the stuff she had was aged, some for a couple of years. I bought everything she had and after that, whenever she recieved a shipment, she'd give me a call and I'd go pick stuff up. Worked great until she closed this year.

Didn't matter. Found out that I didn't like the product that much anyway, was just buying it cause I could. Worked out great for Litto and Pepin though. lol

BINGO!

Jay, I bet the Opus are not msrp though.
.

We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.
