What's the price for Aging?
#11
Mark Wrote:From what I have seen, aged cigar (10 yrs or less) run between 50 and 100 bucks more than regular production.  Vintage cigars (10+ years) all depend on the brand, age, and retailer.
I would be very careful about claims of age made by online retailers. I have, many of us have, aged our own smokes, and the effects of aging are distinctive. "Aged" cigars I have bought online have none of that evidence about them.

If a BOTL tells me that a box has been in his possession for eight years, I'll believe him, every time. If CI or Cigars.com tells me the same thing, experience has taught me to pass. On the other hand, some cigars are distinctive. Partagas 150s and 160s are a good example of that. You know when they were produced. But many other deals, you have to take the retailers word, and many of those retailers do not have a word worth taking. IMHO
