theres always the option of letting them file chapter 7, liquidate these corrupt and failing companies, and let well run car companies buy the factories, give them a huge overhaul, and then rehire the employees at a more reasonable rate.
Instead of thier averaged $75, which happens to be, if calculated over a 40 hr week for 50 weeks, double what a mechanical engineer makes after being in the business for 10-19 years, according to payscale.com.
its extreme, but thats what you get for making an extreme screw-up for an extreme amount of time.
This will never happen, but my fear is that the morons who have driven GM, Ford and Daimler Chrysler into the ground will still run the companies, and its just a matter of time before we hand them, oooo, say $100 Billion.
Oh, and by the way, Chrysler is privately owned. Not only do they have the worst product out of the three, but they have filed Chapter 11 before. Who on earth wants a company given a 3rd or 4th chance to remain in business, so they can only f*ck us all again????!!!!!
