I wish I could put in to words what I experiance and taste when I relax fully with a good or bad cigar. Even with whisky and wine, both of which I have drank for more years than I care to remember, I get to a point where I recognise a flavour/scent etc, but cant put my finger on what it is exactly, I guess the words are on the tip of my ........... no, I'm not going to say it.
I tend to refrain from posting too many reviews as I feel I dont do most great smokes any real justice, my palette can distinguish pepper (mostly black) and the usual wood, leather, coffee and if its any kind of sweet or fruitiness I usually associate it with raisins for some reason, but I have a long way to go before I can progress with my hobby and train my pallet to find the other flavours.
I guess what I am trying to say is this.
Without the reviews that hit on super-focused, trained and honed skills of taste and flavour identification, I would think that all cigars tasted of tobbacco with a hint of cedar and horse piss. Only through reading these reviews and trying to identify what the reviewer was experiancing can I attempt to discover these things for myself when I get to focus 100% on the job in hand. I would never have believed a cigar could remind my senses of coffee and cream had I not had it pointed out to me while smoking by a friend who has smoked more cigars than I will for the rest of my life.
For me, you can post as much as you like Moki, I for one have learned a lot about my hobby from you and would regard it as a great loss should you decide to leave SC.
Dave.
