20 Fresh Jalapenos (Pick the straighter ones when you choose)
20 Cheddar Litâl Smokies (1 package contains approximately 36 sausages)
1 Pkg. Cream Cheese (8 oz.)
2 Lbs. Bacon (1 strip per ABT)
1/8 Med. Vidallia Onion (Diced)
1 Tblspn. Turbinado Sugar
- Mix the Cream Cheese, Onion, and sugar together in a bowl
- Cut the tops off of all of the Jalapenos
- Cut the Jalapenos lengthwise and keep track of which half goes together
- Remove the seeds and membrane from the Jalapenos - Leave the membrane if you want them hotter
- Put a small amount of the Cream Cheese mixture in all of the Jalapeno half's
- Place one Smokie in each pair of Jalapeno's
- Close all of the Jalapenos to sandwich the Smokie
- Wrap one slice of Bacon around each pepper and secure with two toothpicks
- Place the ABT's in a preheated 250* smoker or oven for approx. 2 hrs
- Remove from the oven/smoker and stand back as there will be a stampede to get to these!
