Well the new custom rifle is done!  .300 ultra mag.  Built by one of the best in the business.  McMillian stock, Lilja #5 barrel, Jewel trigger,  action fully blueprinted, muzzle break and a Nightforce scope.  Jerry is a master with his machines.

Her name is Thummper and she is was broken in this past weekend.  One shot then clean for 25 cycles.  Then 3 shots and clean for another 5 cycles.  She is driving tacks at 100 yards.

As of now we have 210 grain Berger bullets flying at 2,900 feet per second.  Slower than lower caliber rifles but this heavy grain bullet is needed to fight the wind and maintain ballistic co-efficient to 2,000 meters. 

Here she is!  All ready for hunting season.  Ballistics already entered into Nightforce's software program and drop tables are printed for distance holdover or dialling.
