I am not good at reviews, and I am missing my thumb (bandaged form a mishap last week in the shark trny) but here goes.
A great looking wrapper. Oily, not too dark, no veins... The prelight smell was spectacular and the cigar was firm/well packed. I cut the cap and toasted the foot. Took a draw and was immediately greeted with a nice peppery strong taste. No earthiness which I sometimes don't like. Draw 2 brought in some sweetness. The aroma was fantastic and things went uphill form there. This is a strong cigar. Not too strong, but about as strong as I like them after 30+ years of cigar smoking. The ash was weak. It kept falling off at inopportune times. I was surprised considering how tightly rolled this was. But the flavor was fantastic. I picked up leather, molasses and the peper which never quit. The draw and burn was everything a cigar smoker could ask for. I nubbed this thing beyond anything reasonable burning my lips and fingers. I thoroughly enjoyed this cigar. This is a 5-star cigar on the skipper scale. Perhaps the best in the Oliva line-up. I will smoke the second one shortly and see about getting a box (perhaps on the 13th at Havana dreams if Jose would sign the box for me)
