Need some advice
#1
Ok guys I have run into a problem that I do not normally get myself into.......I can't decide on which box of smokes to buy lol. My wife gave me the go ahead to get myself a box of cigars as part of my fathers day gift  (she still don't know about the Padron 40th anniversary purchase Smile). For the first time I am torn on what to get. All weekend long I have been smoking my brains out to try and see what I really enjoy enough to buy a box of. I lit up a LFD Lancero which I had a line on to buy a box, but was really not all that impressed. Next I tried another Padilla Miami Corona which I was not crazy about the first time and still didn't like lol. I was looking at a box of Tatuaje Regios but again I am on the fence. I also wanted to consider a nice box of Cubans. To date the only Cuban that has knocked my socks off is the Diplomatico #2 everything else really has not "wowed" me like say an Anejo has in the past. The BBF I had the other day was good but again still not good enought to say "where is my credit card". I have heard great things about the Cohiba Robusto but never tried one so I am hesitant to drop 300$ on them. Just looking for some recomendations that you all may have. The only real serious box I am looking at is a box of La Gloria Cubana Reserva Figurados Felicias Maduros. Latley I have craved a really smooth dark maduro in place of the real powerhouse smokes that I used to be fond of. Price is not to much of an issue (but it will be in a couple of weeks when I get out of the Army lol) but I would like to keep it around 225$.........so what do you say Smile.

First thing that comes to mind is Ashton VSG, and you could get one of the larger sizes and drop some $, or one of the smaller sizes and then follow up w/ a box of A Fuente Chateau Fuente mad or sungrowns (Usually around $65).  Sounds like a great dilema to be in, enjoy!

Just saw a box of Trini Fundadores for $275 or a box of 15 Trini Robusto Extras for $199.  Haven't had the 2nd one but hear nothing but good things about them.

Not sure how old the Regios you had but I was on the fence as well until I had that Unicos this weekend.  Great smoke with some age on them.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

One of the catalogs I got this weekend had 2 Opus Fuente specials. Each one had 5 to 8 rare and special Opus cigars. One package had a BBMF in it. I forgot with the other sticks are or whatthe other package contained. It came in a specialty box and the cigars are dated. They were asking 90 per package or 170-ish for the both of them. If you like Opus, this seems like a deal.

I think it was famous that had it.

Tony,  I'd say go with a box of BBF's or Dip No2's.  Both are great out of the box, but aged that are tremendous.

You know what, I was going to send you a package anyways, so I'll include one of each that are around 2 years old.  I'm sure once you try the BBF you will bot be able to find you credit card fast enough.

PM me your addy.
Viva Lancero!

I say go for the LGCs you were looking at, especially if you know you'll enjoy them.
Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
