- jsaucedo - 06-21-2008 Robusto 5x50 Wrapper: Nicaragua Binder: Nicaragua Filler: Nicaragua Prelight: This cigar is kind of unusual to me in that the fine delicate wrapper actually cracked on me and I was in for a big disappointment or so I thought. I have a cigar Savor that I use to pack my daily drive home smoke in, and when I took it out I was like WTF? Any how on with the smoke. This cigar comes wrapped in a fine dark tea wrapper, a very thin delicate wrapper, with minor veining adding some detail to the cigar. The cigar has an aroma of hay, tea and a hint of fish. a prelight draw introduces you to something really amazing, a fine peppery taste with a near perfect draw. Lighting this cigar is easy and it burns fairly even. Even, with the window down in the car. I got no canoeing effect no mouseholes, just a nice even burn. The smoke, a nice bluish white smoke, with a very strong spicy ceder taste, and scent of burning hay and oak. The ash is a nice tight white ash. I can only say one thing for this cigar. WOW. Do not attempt to smoke this boy on an empty stomach. This is a Medium to full bodied smoke leaning more towards full bodied. Idealy best served with a nice cup of dark coffe or a good strong drink. Overall, the cracking of the wrapper did no harm to it. |
