I was wondering if anyone has any experience in turning a hope chest into a humidor. I like the look, the space and many are cedar lined. My question would be how airtight they are. Any thoughts?

Sammy be careful using these. The cedar used in hope chests is western red cedar, strong smelling & damaging to cigars. If you can get one not made of cedar it should be fairly easy to seal it as long as the box is well constructed. It would be basically adding the spanish cedar and installing a seal.

Good luck & post some picks if you do this.
