Well I must say that this cigar is one of the best I have had in a good while. The AVO LE 05 is a limited edition cigar put out as a very rare and special treat for those who are able to get ahold of them. I was lucky enough to be able to add a bundle of these to my collection. This specific cigar I have been told is even more special than the original release. The blend is a little different and happens to be AVOs personal blend from his personal stash. The cigar contains a leaf of "extra sweet" Ligero. After giving the cigar the once over I noticed a very sturdy looking stick that was ver toothy and reminded me of a Cameroon wrapper. I clipped the cap and instantly noticed a very pleasant aroma that was earthy and rich. I toasted the foot and finished lighting it and my intial reaction was WOW! The flavor was indeed very earthy and clean and was extremley mellow on the finish. The  best quality about this cigar was the underlying sweetness that it gave off and maintained throughout the entirety of the smoke. The first half was again very mellow and smooth. The final half was even better! The flavors did not change much, but they seemed to intensify just enough to where you really tasted the bold flavors of the tobbacco. The construction was flawless and the burn was laser straight. This baby held an almost 2 inch ash and would of held on longer had I allowed it to. I didn't want to put the nub down but alas the end had come.  I must say thank you to AVO for making this very special cigar available for others to try.  These sticks have earned a very special place in my humidor!! Don't really see to many boxes anymore only ones I have seen are in bundles. Are you talking about the 80th anniversary??? These are far different.
