- Bungalowbill - 02-23-2007 after a valiant battle against breast cancer for the last 2 years, my mom passed away yesterday, surrounded by family, without much pain. it's rough, but thinking about how good her life was, married for 50 years to my dear dad, seems to keep me smiling more than frowning. mom taught me more than anyone right from wrong and how to live... and how to deal with life's mulekicks with courage and compassion. thanks to those who've shared their experiences regarding things like this on the forum. i find myself more grounded because of you guys. and heck, bluesman landed a bomb on me yesterday when i needed a smile the most. just awesome. ![]() all i can say is the last couple of years would've been impossible were it not for family and friends (and of course you botl's). i'm astounded and humbled by people's selflessness. so here's to mom, a force of life and a force of nature, living on in all who knew her. - ColbyPants - 02-23-2007 sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers. TomC - lz6 - 02-23-2007 Very well said. Your attitude in the loss of your Mom is inspiring and reminds us all of how we individually should work to adjust to the natural order of things that bring us these life changing events. And here's to your Mother, may she rest in eternal peace, and may your fond memories sustain you and yours. - Guest - 02-23-2007 50 years of marriage is an accomplishment that not many achieve. Hearing her son speak so compassionately about his mother reflects on what type of person she was and the son she raised. You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. - Bobgun - 02-23-2007 Deepest sympathy,BB. I'm sure you have a lot of good memories of your mom and can be glad of the way she tried to train you. But there is still a big hurt and void there. Carry on the torch and know that we all share your pain. - Tfire136 - 02-23-2007 Very sorry for your loss......she is in my prayers. - Skipper the cigar aFISHinodo - 02-23-2007 me deepest sympathies my friend.
