- FSU Stogie - 03-23-2007 Blech. Did NOT like this cigar, bought a few after hearing all the raves about Tatuaje and frankly I found it harsh and monotone in terms of flavor. It burned HOT and was absolutely aweful. I put it out after an inch or so because it just wasnt worth it. To think, I almost bought a box! I will try another in time, but this one was just aweful and a big turn off. I feel disappointed as I was expecting a great smoke! -Ben - Guest - 03-23-2007 FSU you started with the wrong Tatuaje. You need to try the base line of Tatuaje like the Unicos, Especiales, Tainos, Regios and the Noellas. Even the Noellas at 5 1/8" x 42 and the Petite Tatuajeat 4 ý" x 32 have a nice cool burn if you smoke them slow without drawing to hard. The Havana VI and the Series P just don't compare to the original line. - cigarsarge - 03-23-2007 The ones I bought got real nice after some humi time. I had a VI Angeles last night that was pretty damn good. The first inch or so was rather peppery but it mellowed out...Nubbed it. - FSU Stogie - 03-23-2007 I could have dealt with the heat but the flavor was just boring and overly harsh. Maybe I got a bad one, Ill give another one a shot, but I REALLY did not like this cigar this time around ![]() -Ben - Stands and Looks Back - 03-23-2007 wow!!!!....no good!!!!! pity... ![]() - Rob The Long Island Cowboy - 03-23-2007 ben do give those another shot. it's truly an excellent cigar though quite different in taste profile from the regular tatuaje line. - Bungalowbill - 03-23-2007 wow, sorry to hear about that experience. i like the red label tat's fine, though they do lack the complexity of the original line. burning hot sounds awfully strange, i'm hoping you got a one-off dud. i agree with cowboy, maybe give the red label another shot in a month or two (let the bad memory fade). if you want an epic smoke, i swear by the original tat line, especially the tainos, followed by the noellas and unicos. and they age beautifully. - JoeBob - 03-24-2007 EXACTLY what I said about the first one I had. I let the box chill out in my humi for a month and a half and very much enjoyed the 2nd...and the 3rd....and the 4th... ![]() - Bluesman455 - 03-24-2007 I love em'!!!! ![]() ![]() - Admin - 03-24-2007 Just added some to the website... http://www.tbs-cigars.com/cigars/Tatuaje/tatuaje.html (shameless plug... lol! )
