RE: Virus scan logging into SC - Admin - 05-08-2010

Seriously guys, Dustin is the MAN! what he got done in a few moments was surely taking me hours to debug/fix. I felt like Macgyver trying to repair a super computer with a toothpick, duct tape and a roll of Reynolds Wrap. Thankfully Dustin steped in and within minutes we were sending Stogies to the moon.

THANKS DUSTIN!

Hey you took care of the hard part... Me, I just had to do the easy stuff and make it look like I saved the world! Smilin

Alight alright! Serious time!!
What happened: Well, basically... Someone decided to be a butt-head and upload nasty code to SC, that try's to get you to download a virus. NOT COOL.. They were able to do this, most likely due to some level of negligence on GoDaddys part.

How Eric & I suspect it happened: We think that the issue was due to someone hacking GoDaddy's server's... As the attack we experienced, was also experienced by a bunch of other GoDaddy customers. So we do NOT believe it was someone that was specifically targeting SC. This would also not be the first time that this has happened to GoDaddy.

What you guys really care about and need to know: Even though parts of the site were compromised early this morning, all of your passwords are still safe as they are ALL encrypted, SC is once again safe to browse, and everything is fixed.

SC running slow: I'm sure that for the next 2-3 days you may notice SC a little slower than normal. This will most likely be due to GoDaddy investigating everything further and them making necessary changes to ensure this does not happen again.

Sounds like someone hacked Go Daddy. So I would say the blame lands on Danica Patrick.
