Is something wrong? I get the little cigar for 20 seconds before it loads.

Oh... Bastards
I purchased my Cable Modem from Comcast. It was like $60... But, I've had it for like 4 years so I've saved myself a lot of money. The down side is if it breaks, you would have to buy another one... Where as when renting it, if it breaks, they pay for it.
Beyond that, I'm not really sure.
I've been thinking the same thing for a month and finally called comcast today and talked to a teck about buying my own, I love these guys. They have been charging $5 a month for ever and I have to cut some more costs. He told me about the newest technology on modems and told me to make sure I got a DOCSIS 3.0. SOOO off I go on my 2 hours of Google homework going 5 pages deep and found this as the NEW B A D A S S and the reviews are amazing. I still can't believe some of the nerds LOL that were getting 80MBS and up. Anyway many of them were showing the different #s of the before and after and most were 25% higher.
MOTOROLA SB6120 160Mbps in DOCSIS mode and 195Mbps in EuroDOCSIS mode Ethernet Port DOCSIS 3.0 SURFboard eXtreme Cable Modem
Not that it mattered but I just wanted to stop the rental from comcast. I could have gotten a new motorolla like I have for $40+ bit a little more money gave me the newer technology needed for the future. It sells for as much as $180 but I found it @ newegg for $77 with free ship. There is a wireless router version but the reviews weren't great for distance.
This is a link with a BUNCH of guys showing vids and config tweeks for it.

Thanks T, I'm also paying a rental. Every month I said I have to do something about it. So the one above is what we should buy?
