New Feature: Spell Check
#1
Ok, maybe its not so new to those of us who were used to using the old StogieChat software... But with the upgrade to this new and much nicer software we did lose that feature. And, Since it was something that many people requested we decided that we would code a similar spell check feature back into the new StogieChat.

SO! The Spell check is currently available for New threads, replies, and full post edits... If there is anywhere else you guys would like to have it available let us know! Big Grin

As usual, nice job. Who's spell check is it?
.

We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.

Well I wrote the code to integrate it into StogieChat and to make the Spell Check app handle a few things differently than it was originally designed to do...

But the original spell check app that i based my word off of is a free app that was written by James Shimada way back in 2003 and then never really updated since. The code he wrote for his spell check is seriously used by tens of thousands of websites all over the world because it is seriously the best.

No point in reinventing the wheel when there's already a great wheel that you can add onto Smile

Great feature! Alas, as most of yew have come to expect, hear is my usual comment regarding spell check.
Won can spell every word right and still end up with lodes of errors and ah mess. Wii need a grammar checker two. Oar perhaps an online English class. Wink (god nose sum of us can use won four sure!)
