Ok guys... I need a new desktop humi.. looking for about 100  ct, and maybe a little more.  I need something that will be durable, yet subtle.  I really like darker woods.. any suggestion on where to look?  There is one I want at my local B&M and I wouldn't mind buying it from him, but its a little on the high priced side...

What is your budget?

I'm looking at around $100 or so... This is the one that I like at my local shop....

Its only $98.00 at cheaphumidors.com but doesn't come with a hygrometer or humidifier.  If I buy that same humidor from my local place, it comes with a humidifier and a digital hygrometer.  It seals GREAT.  The price at the local shop is $135.00 plus tax.....

And avoid the "new for cheap" deals on Ebay.  You get what you pay for!  Just trust me on this one.

Okay, I will tell you why.  I got a new 300 ct. humi on Ebay from a power seller.  I won the bid at $29 but paid $30 for shipping.  They had to pack it well and I understand.  It looked really great when I got it.

When I got it sure it came with a warranty if not satisfied.  The instructions also claimed that it was not made of Spanish cedar cause its not needed to maintain humidity.  But they did include spanish cedar dividers.  The thing would not hold RH past 60.

Upon further inspection the construction was poor.

I was not satisfied but it would have cost me $20 or more to send back!  Fair warning.  Newbie mistake.

Daryn, Trust me, if I buy a new one anytime soon, I will not be buying from ebay. Smile

LOL!  Looks like for $135 you have a good choice there.
i have an older model of this:

and its pretty nice. i used it before i got my antietam, and i loved it. mine had glass on the front though, and i think i like that a lot better than how this new one looks. and this almost looks like the same humidor, for a little less, but it only claims to hold 50-75 sticks

tampahumidor is awesome too! are you against an imperfect?
Scott...take a look at some of these...

Scott, Thanks for the ideas.... The one I saw at my local shop looked to hold at least 100 sticks... But I've been wrong before.  I am not against an imperfect, as long as it seals well.  I've found that most "imperfects" are really minor problems.
