It’s time to review another pipe tobacco containing the elusive and rare Syrian Latakia. Last time, it was Mac Baren’s “HH Vintage Syrian.” This time, it’s McClelland’s “Three Oaks Syrian.”…

  1. The watchword for me would be delicious. This is probably my favorite
Balkan blend. I know you are a big Nightcap fan, so I can see as to why
this one would not be your cup of tea.

  2. Good review. I was rolling around in laughter when you mentioned the taste
of crab cakes.. I was telling my friend the other day that I taste some
sort of food element in some Latakia blends. Slightly Like old bay
    seasoning.. Idk

  3. Great review!

  4. Based on your recommendation, I tried the MacBaren “HH Vintage Syrian” and
really loved it! I heard from my local tobacco store that MacBaren has
about 1 to 1.5 tons of the Syrian Latakia stored up but that it seems to be
going pretty quick. Thanks for this recommendation here–I’ll have to try
it! One of the best ways to end the day is to light up my pipe and watch
one of your tobacco reviews…keep sending them out!
