From “This blend from Mac Baren includes Virginias, Burleys, Original Cavendish, dark fired Kentucky, Orientals and, of course, a fair amount of Acadian Perique. HH Acadian Perique has no top flavor at all which means that you will only enjoy the tobacco taste. When smoked, you will experience no tongue bite and this blend will smoke to the bottom, leaving only grey ashes. It is a rich, flavorful and very satisfying smoke.”

  1. By the way, I recently adjusted my pricing on all of the HH Mac Baren tins, so they are now $11 for the 1.75 oz, and $19 for the 3.5 oz. Cheers!

  2. The other day, a can o' Beacon Extra came in the mail. For a little while, it was reminding me of Irish Flake. Then, I suppose the perique kicked in and it morphed into something a little different. Later into the bowl it started having that McClelland taste. Not a bad taste – not even a taste, really. Just that McClelland thh-THING. I believe that's what you're talking about when you say some tobaccos are vinegary. Beacon Extra, McClelland in general – I don't mind them at all, however, I don't think it struck me in that moment. It's like I ate the fish, but it was a chicken sorta day.

  3. This is a good blend. I find myself reaching for it sometimes when I can't decide what I'm in the mood for since it checks more than a couple boxes for me. And it's very easy to smoke, mechanically, with a great ribbon cut.

  4. 167 Like's…πŸ‘)) This is why I Do enjoy the Hobby of pipe smoking. Get home from work, Throw the work crap on a hook, grab a fav Drink, grab my pipe, some smokey tabacco cut, And be my Own… Dam Man. πŸ˜ŽπŸ“¬πŸΊπŸŒ²βœ”πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ -Thanks Bradley.

  5. Hi, Bradley. I Know you're trying to find a match for Elizabethan Mixture, have you considered the Sutliff blended match for the Murray's version. I haven't tried it myself the reviews suggest it's pretty great.

  6. Perfect as always. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the blend. I am reading The Bazaar of Bad Dreams at the moment and it's brilliant so far. Highly recomend it to anyone who can take it. Anyway.. god bless you and your loved ones bradley. Hope you spoil us soon with future videos.

  7. Greetings Bradley! I thoroughly enjoy your channel! I pretty much daily tell my wife about some wisdom that my "good friend Bradley" has imparted. It's gotten to the point that she pretty much knows that if I say that I've placed a tobacco order that it was because I had watched one of your new reviews. She asks if it was something that my "good friend Bradley" recommended, and the answer is always yes. Keep up the great work!

  8. Sounds worth a try, must say unlike yourself I do enjoy the American black cavendish on occasion though.

  9. Hi Bradley I've been watching for a while and I had a question. I smoke cigars but would like to try pipes. I was wondering should I try you favorites or would you recommend something else? Or maybe you already have a video that I missed covering this subject. Thank you for the videos. CHEERS!

  10. Hey, my good friend Bradley! Audience here! Question for ya. Are you usually able to smoke an entire bowl, top to bottom, without having to dump any ash? I'm a new pipe smoker (about 6 months or so) and I find it difficult to get all the way down to the heel. And, furthermore, I often get a very unpleasant sour/ashy taste once I'm just past the halfway mark. I don't know if I'm smoking it too fast or if the tobacco is too moist or what. Any thoughts of guidance would be greatly appreciated. Huge fan of the reviews and how to's by the way.
    Your good friend,

  11. Hi Bradley, sounds like a great blend I will be picking up.Β  Thanks, take care.Β  Mark

  12. That voice skip at 4:30 made me chuckle a bit, thanks for reviewing this one!
