THAT’S HOW THEY ARE MADE?? I NEVER WOULD HAVE GUESSED. DON’T BUY FAKE ONES! You need to watch how cigars are made in Cuba. We took a cigar tour in Cuba in the city of Vinales to understand how cigars are made. How to smoke one too!

– You will be approached by people in the streets of Cuba especially in Havana to buy cigars on special only for that day. BE VERY CAREFUL, there is a lot of fake cigars being sold on the street. Using banana leaves from what we’re told. Don’t buy singles, buy the ones in boxes and have all the seals.

– ALWAYS check your box of cigars before purchasing to see that all cigars are the same even the bottom rows. We were told some boxes look presentable from the top row but all fake at the bottom. Double check.

– Buy cigars from government stores since they have seals and are 100% authentic. They might be slightly pricier. Box ranges from $65 CUC to $100 CUC depending the brand.

– Buy the cigars straight from Vinales (Tobacco Farms). They are the same as branded cigars, without the brand label.
