AJ Fernandez is probably the hottest cigar blender and manufacture in the industry at the moment.  Not only is he busying making his own lines, in his new state of the art factory in Esteli, Nicaragua, but he has been blending cigars in collaborations with many other cigar manufactures.  One of the largest is Tabacalera USA.  They are the parent company for JR Cigars and Altidis USA.  AJ has collaborated with them earlier on a Romeo y Julieta and Montecristo cigar, but those were only available to JR Cigars.  AJ Fernandez and Altidis USA teamed up to created a new H. Upmann cigar, a line that needed some new blood.  This new H. Upmann is a very bold departure from the current H. Upmann line up.  It’s medium to full bodied with notes of leather, cedar, black pepper, roasted nuts, caramel and hint of orange zest at the end.  Very good cigar.  Especially for $6.75 for the toro.  Definitely check this one out.

  1. I tried one at the only B&M around here and was impressed to the point of buying a box. Most of them have been good but a few were real stinkers construction wise. Think I will stick with my Padron and Olive V. Thanks for the video and hope you and FL get along. Take care and God bless

  2. I've not had one of these but man, it looks and sounds great!
