Thankyou for the Tobacco Review – Germains Royal Jersey i have not had it and donot plan on paying to much for it. so how have you ben doing and fall is here in iowa i think so. I hope you have a great weekend my friend.allway's take care Briar Blade Sweet Smokes

  3. Good reviews Erik. I tend to want my tobaccos clearly defined and strong. If it's Latakia, I want lots of Latakia. If it's Burley, I want lots of Burly. I never tend to go back to really mild stuff. Thanks for saving my money 😉 Peace

  4. Some of my favorite blends right now in my rotation are Robert Mcconell English Oriental and Robert Lewis mixtures they are amazing have you tried them ?

  5. I wasn't real impressed with this one either . That's why I didn't have any in my cellar lol take care bud

  6. Never get the hype on any blend. I've fallen for it over the years, like a lemming. But, I learned my lesson. Love to see your opinion of Wessex blends, which have been my favorites the last couple of years.

  7. Latakia blends should not be aged, it just pulls the teeth right out of the latakia. Just like aromatics, aging it does nothing positive for the latakia.

  8. I'm smoking Brighams English mixture watching this video. I hated before got wicked tongue bite from it before but now it's not bad stuff. Great review if I see it. here in Canada I'll stay away from it.

  9. You're right, you definitely pay for the name on this blend. I prefer Pelican or Balkan Sobrani any day over this blend. Great review!🤙

  10. Thanks for your honesty! Don't believe the hype!!!! Hard to get doesn't mean that it's always good.

  11. Hey woodsman, just want to share this with you from mr. gl pease himself in regard to aging.

Q: What's the best way to store tobacco for aging?

A: Ideally, tobacco should be left in its original sealed tin, and stored in a cool, dry place. It's important to realize that storage in plastic bags and the like, while allowing the tobacco to "meld," will prevent the true aging process. Plastic bags are permeable to small molecules. (Water, while not a very large molecule, is polarized, and has a hard time penetrating the barrier formed by the plastic.) If you can smell the contents through the bag, you're losing flavor and aroma! Mason jars, bail-top jars and so on are good candidates for long term storage, as long as you can resist the urge to open them to "check up" on what's happening. Aging tobacco must be left alone, with no gas exchange allowed. Once an aged tin is open, the contents should either be smoked relatively quickly, or transferred to a jar with a good seal.

  12. Some people smoke for room note, but I definitely smoke for flavor. Room note of whatever variety is icing. Thanks for the review. Think I'll try other things first.
