 Ashtrays: Plastic? Glass? Marble? Smoking cigars has always been somewhat related to luxury, wealth and power. Ashing your $10 cigar into a plastic $2 ashtray does not emanate luxury by any means. While the $2 ashtray certainly serves its purpose, why not further enjoy the better things in life and also invest in a real cigar ashtray.
 Ashtrays made for cigars have wider spots to hold your cigar and will normally be made from metal, glass or marble. While some can be quite expensive, you can find decent cigar ashtrays in the $10-30 range. Look for ashtrays that have a nice wide area to accommodate your cigar in a level position when lit. Ashtrays that will angle your cigar into the bowl with the ashes are NOT cigar ashtrays and should be avoided. Leave those for the cigarette smokers!
