No need to let them rest for a year. The over-humidification probably took all of the flavor. I'd give them another month or two. I have a box of Punch PC that I got in Dec. that is just now starting to dry out and gain flavor. They were soaked when I got them.

I kinda thought that because any overly wet smoke seems mild to me and un enjoyable.
