Zaphod Wrote:Wow, a lot of great advice.  I just got a blackberry last weekend and it has the navigator with it which is nice, but it's like $15 a month and I'd rather take that money and buy an actual unit.
I have a compnay phone, so it doesnt cost me anything.

I was impressed how accurate it actually is for the price.   In the past 5 months the only time it was not accurate is when it made me exit a highway and then enter the entrance ramp on the other side to go the same direction.   Other than that, its worth it to have one.   Actually got mine on sale for about $120.

You really have to look at the features you need or want.   Its easy to spend $500 on a unit and only gain a few features that you *think* you may use.  Wink

make sure whatever you get has a split screen when you come to a turn. It reduces the map on one side then on the other shows you a street-like view of your turn as you progress through it. That is one valuable option!

This is cool cool. Keep it coming.
.

We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.
