My Grandpa Joe (Joe Ustanko; the original Tank). He is on the far right as you are looking at it. This is southern Italy. After they wacked a German machine gun nest, they put on Jerry's uniforms and posed for this picture. Notice the heavy German guns.

We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.

Thank you to all our veterans: those here and departed. Your service is deeply appreciated and never forgotten. My dad served in the U.S. Army (between Korea and Vietnam), and my uncle is a Vietnam Vet.
