The new tech on the go is old tech that now works to be honest ..... we have intelligent completions that can be ran with more success than failure ...... every 3 to 5 years we make tech advances that would have taken 10 to 15 years when I first came into the industry, we are going back to old wells and injecting water into them to lift the oil towards the completion strings.

Yeah but if we drill for it, the Ruby Throated Nutscratcher might have to move their nest 400 yards to the East, and its endangered!!!!

Besides, it would be years before any American would actually see the benefit. (Which is exactly what the government said about the oil fields in Alaska)











On a more sinister note, i have a sneaking suspicion the government isn't letting anyone drill for oil in Alaska, because they're planning on giving it to China for debt forgiveness.  Its probably the only way out  Sad
