larger v/s smaller ring gauges

I gotta disagree.  Smaller ring gauge cigars, smoked properly, do not overheat and like most cigars get slightly stronger and more flavorful towards the 2nd half.

Spot on Mark! I feel the same way. Smaller ring gauges need to be smoked more deliberately. It will turn hot and bitter if you smoke them quick. You have to slow it down.

If your style is to continually puff away on your cigar go big on the ring gauge. The thinner the ring you need to slllloooowwww it down and enjoy what the wrapper brings to it.
