I need good carry on luggage bags
#1
I haven't flown since 1991.

I'm going to go on a small trip & need a carry on bag that fits the correct size, 22" x 14" x 9".
I'd like it to have a handle, 4 wheels & be a "spinner"

Everything I'm finding is way too small, or just a little bit too big, even though they say it's the correct size.

I'm not looking to check any bags, just carry on.

Any ideas?

Oh, I could also use ideas for a carry on back pack, max size is 17" x 13" x 8"

I have one of those... I've used it for international flights where they weigh the luggage and i like it enough. If i were flying domestic only, i would probably look at an Amazon Basics one.

For backpack i like using these:

They are light weight, easily packable, not the most comfortable backpack ive owned, but its good enough. Note that this one is a little longer than the allotted size, they have some shorter ones or you can just not pack it to the top... making it easy to press down the couple inches.

That one looks pretty good.  I looked at the Amazon Basics (I was looking for a spinner too) but most of all the ones I looked at were too big, even though thay said they were the correct size.  The real measurements were just a little over.  With my luck, they'd make me check it instead.

But I'm already big enough without the extra clothes.   Blush

When I needed a new regular bag, I found a super killer deal on a TravalPro Platinum through macys.com. Watch for sales too - I'll watch this thread as I am thinking I'll get a second carry on too for quick overnight trips...

Yeah we noticed that with some of the Amazon Basic's too... Honestly, we probably won't use the ones we have often. I can get away with a medium sized backpack for a month of travel -- I only need a carry on suit case if I need formal ware. Work has turned me into a seasoned ultra light traveler haha

My son (in Seattle) has one of those carry on cases (I forget what brand. My wife has one too).  He's flown with it at least 6 times with no issue.  Last week when he flew back to Seattle, they made him check it.
