are these really from the Vietnam era?
#1
Hello,

First off I want to ask the question are these really from the Vietnam era? I just won 2 Combat Individual rations from the Vietnam war. They both have the main courses in them and sides and the accessory packets. For each off the accessory packets, they have cigs in them. I have just seen plain accessory packets with cigs in them selling for minimum $40 a piece. The fact I got to accessory packets for almost the price of one is amazing! These will go great with my collection.

Hopefully the cigs are in still good condition because I will be making a video on these and will be smoking one if they are still ok!

Please help

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

I'm not a cig smoker but perhaps you should pick up a humi pack / water pillow and let them get adjusted to their new surroundings for a few days.

My $0.02 on the subject of Vietnam ear rations.  In 1965 we were eating WW-II left overs, how did I know this most of the ration had a manufacture date stamped on the Ingredents, or on the box, so some of the ration were made before I was born.

BTW Vietnam US official involvement was 1962 - 1975, but were involved way before 1962.
