I have 3 humidors and a cabinet with a set and forget system. The batteries in the hygrometers in the 3 humidors are dead. I Haven't replaced them in at least 6 months or so. I check the beads every week & if they seem dry then I add distilled water. Even in the past, the hygrometers would drive me crazy. I figure I'm better off ignoring them. Stogies in the humidors are smoking fine but I am grateful for the set & forget system..

When my cat takes a wizz, she checks out the hydrometer for me.

Well, it was the hygrometers... Replaced it with the new ones from Cigar Oasis and all is reading within limits. Smoked one of my 10 year aged untold stories and nice even burn for nearly 2 hours... Going to look into the S & F system though.. I was a bit worried about the cigars for a few days...

Well, that's good news.
It took me a long time to not obsess too much about my hygrometer readings...the important thing is: "How are your cigars smoking?"
