Probably just pay it and move on. The only bad thing with a seatbelt ticket is the NEXT one will be much more because you were already processed for it. Don't get another!

I don't know how it is where you are, but here in CA, you pay court fees IN ADDITION to your citation. And they total MORE than the citation. My 60 dollar ticket turned into a $200 "bend over and take it like a man"

Did it have a reduced fine if you pay within a certain time? If so just pay it and move on if you go in and talk to DA they will see that you were speeding also if it was noted and they want do anything for you. So it will cost you more and will be a big waste of your time.
