I have 2 of these, but prefer the stainless steel one
I most always use a full cut for full flavor from my Xikar or Palio cutters. I have tried punch cutters but sometimes I get a hot spot on my tongue and drawing too hard to get the smoke. V is not for me. lol

I also have the steel one too (poker edition in silver) I LOVE IT! NICE CLEAN CUT, only takes the cap off! like it says... PERFECT! It is also nice looking and has some weight to it.

I tend to always gravitate back to the straight cut. I have a Cuban Crafter's cutter that is my favorite. I often cut with the head against a flat surface as I like as straight a cut as possible, and it helps me align the stick. For me the punch is often too concentrated, the V cut is a good middle ground, but again I most often find a straight cut suits me the best.

Easy e. I used to do the same thing, place my cutter flat on the table and cut, but since getting this I am sold on it. I will post a few pics of the cut.
