Just my $0.02...

I try to start with a small cut, and check the pre light draw.  It it feels a little tight I cut a little more. 

I know I have been guilty of cutting a bit too much from time to time.

Well I have learned that recently, I was taking too much of the tip when cutting and I always found the wrapper coming unrolled. Very annoying. But Im still goin to try out a xikar cutter. Even after reading all the different options, still seems the xikar is the best. i am currently using a cheap guillotine cutter... but im going to start cutting less off. man never thought i could learn so much!
