I posted a few months ago about another PC problem I had. After blowing it out and cleaning it, the fan started running a 150% and could even hear it downstairs. I researched for a month with dell and came up with nothing except a bad sys board or temp controller.
Well when Jan was posting about his PC build I found some awesome vid tutorials on the entire process. I actually watched all 22 of them. It talked about the CPU thermal grease or tape and I thought HHUMMMM. I went to Radio Shack and paid $2.99 for a tube. Long story short, 8 minutes later and I CAN'T even hear it run. OMG, it's fixed without having to take it to a shop and costing god knows how much. I don't know if they would have even caught it. Tonto and papoose, Thank you,Thank you,Thank you,Thank you, for the PC build. LOL
Now if I could only get the other one to take a restore that I MESSED up.

We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.
