"Do not call" registry
#11
Why is it a hoax?
If you register with the proper web site aren't you given a certain level of protection?

Jimmie, there is no need. Cell phone #'s are not given out and companies accessing your cell phones will not be checking the DNC registry anyway.
If you do get a telemarketer call or a political call or a survey (usually a telemarketer trying to fly under the radar (surveys and political calls are not obligated to check the DNC registry) don't lose your temper, dont waste your time. Simply say "Take me off of your list" Repeat it twice then hang up. They are legally obligated to remove your number from any lists they have. If they dont they are subject to steep fines. This has always worked flawlessly for me.
