Jake's First Official Hunt
#1

Well I took my boys out to the cabin in western ND this weekend.  Its early Canada Goose season for about a week so I wanted to get Jacob a goose as at 12 years old he is official to hunt.  My other son Jordan did a lot of the camera work.

We set up about 400 yards in front of the cabin.  Here are some decoys we set out:

Lake Sakakawea is the Missouri River dammed up.  The geese stay there all day then come out to this field at night to feed.  The lake was south of us and we hid under burlap hay camo on the north side of a hay bail.

I sat in the middle:

The geese ended up flying right over us and landing in front of us:

How can you call yourself a responsible parent to raise your child to be a gun toting, war mongering, killer of animals that never did anything to harm you?  You should be ashamed of yourself.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!  And we also said Grace to God and a prayer for Tyler!  Then we thanked the Spirit of the Wild for the feast of goose which will nourish us with protein.  Finally, we said a prayer to old Fred Bear!
