You should not have to do much. Start off with defaults, enable uPNP and DMZ the PS3. For the PS3 being on the DMZ, you will need to make sure you hard key the IP address on the PS3 so it never changes.

done that. set up some port forwarding for the xbox. before, for whatever reason, when i would set the xbox with a static ip, i could not get it to check open. i couldn't even get online with it. i had to let it go automatic. even if i set it to the same ip that it checked open with. i.e. when set to auto, it would check open at 192.168.1.3 so if i set it to that same ip manual, it wouldn't test open. that has now changed. it will check open with a manually set static ip.
