SOSA
#1
So, deb goes off to Disney DownTown while I watch the babes at the pool, err... I mean watch the kids. Hey, I watched them, no one drowned!

Anyway, she returns with 2 cigars form a shop located at disney downtown (the Disney version of Universals citywalk).

The name of the store is SOSA. The cigar has the same name. I thought, oh man, another dreadful cigar mistake and I can only imagine how much she paid...

Anyway, I lit one up today. What a fine cigar!

It burned perfectly. It was obviously well aged. Had lots of spice, flavors, not at all one-dimensional. I would clearly buy more on my next trip.

(Oh, and I scored a bunch of VSG illusions at the citywalk cigar store for $10 each!)

I have actually seen these around the Philly area Skip and have been ogling them quite a bit.  The guy at the B&M touts them highly.  May have to give one a rip.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

here's more info:

"Sosa is a Dominican cigar made in the Fuente factory under the supervision of Juan Sosa, one of the most respected cigar craftsman in the industry. Sosa is made with Dominican filler and binder with an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper and is known for its consistent quality and rich, smooth taste."

Apparantly they are not a store brand...

Nope.  CA consistently rates the Pyramids highly.  I've never seen one, though.  Only one of my local B&M's carries them, and only occasionally at that.  I had a handful of their toros, called the Govenor, a year or two ago.  I remember them being pretty good, but haven't seen enough of them since to follow up.

I have on in my travel case today, ready for my drive home from work.

Can anyone reccommend a non-alcoholic drink to compliment it?

There's a monster vein running down the side...I can see that causing trouble down the highway.

Had one, and was very impressed.

The light light light white ash was a huge contrast to the dark brown wrapper.
The burn was even, even with the big vein down the side. No probs.
Lots-o-flavor, which seemed to pick up after I set it down to get some gas.

Maybe a little fuller-bodied than I needed before dinner, but a good cigar!
