Raul is just as if not more ruthless than Fidel. Fortunately for the Cuban people Raul is 75 years old. Now when he goes to hell things will start to get interesting absent a clear cut line of progression. 

 

Bingo.  Fidel is the politician.  While he marched to Havana Raul stayed behind to machine gun the loyalists.

Cuba will be Communist/Socialist for atleast the next 20 years, his brother is 75 and Cuba has one of the best healthcare systems in the world.  Even if Fidel passes way at some point, his brother will take over for 20.  With influence from Hugo Chavez and the discovery of huge pockets of oil found in Cuban waters the industrialization that Che Guevara wanted will happen and lift the Cuban people.  But if Fidels brother goes back to his USSR days then I could definatly see a revolution towards democracy.

Reading the Sunday paper I noticed a shot of hundreds of Cuban and cuban-americans demonstrateing against the embargo lift in Washington.They say Cuba should not be bargained with.
