Work sends me to Key West every six weeks or so. Next time I'm down there I'll give your beer a try.

Thanks to Florida's arcane beer laws, the beer I make can only be purchased at ONE BAR in Key West.

do they allow cigar smoking in that bar?

That was the first cigar I ever smoked. Although when I tried one, it was manufactured by the "Caribbean Cigar Company" which is currently being sued for fraud.

That's what I as thinking too!!

I like where your heads are at.

Of course, DD has a hard enough time getting me out of my house to go an hour and a half down the road, so I may need to be kidnapped, but this would be a great trip.

Skipper, can you pick folks up as you go down the coast?

When you reach SOUTH Carolina, you're half-way here.  It's a 12-hour drive from Jacksonville, FL to Key West.

I was just thinking. I live 3 hours from Miami, and I have NEVER, EVER visited the cigar factories on Flagler Ave. and Calle Ocho (that's 8th Street for you gringos).

Between Key West and Miami there are a few cigar manufacturers:

The Conch Republic Cigar Factory - Key West
Island Smoke Shop - Key Largo (I am SO going to order some Santiago Cabanas.)

And within about a 4 mile radius of 1st and Flagler in Miami:

El Rey de los Habanos factory
Padilla Cigars
Padrón Cigars
El Credito Cigar Factory
World Cigars (makers of 5 Vegas)
Nick's (Perdomo) Cigar Factory
Havana Sunrise
La Tradicion Cubana
Puros Indios

Best of all, I spent my last day of vacation getting the addresses and phone numbers of ALL of them.

I'll call them all from work tomorrow and see if they do tours.
