Locked Cell phones

Some of you may or may not know that cell service providers have the option o folockign out certain things cell phones can do. Well i just ot a Nokia 613 which for the most part i love byut wehn i tried to use my own mp3's as ringers it wouldn't let me. SO i enquired to nokia adn they clued me in. Now, while it's not a big deal that it's locked out and if it was never an option it wold of been less of a big deal, but know that i now the phone can do it, i feel dirty and cheated. and being that it's a realativly new design they are not yet unlockable. I may send it back i have a few days to decide, but it does soo much other stuff it's a hard decision.

That's one of those things that drives me up the wall.  I'm sure they'll find a way of charging you for this capability.  I really resent the idea of having to buy or lease back some feature on a divice that I already own.

My provider up here does that too.

It's infuriating when someone you know has the same phone through a different provider, and can do more with it :X
