In part of my bombing run of recent weeks I was going to include Double D.  So Carrie and I made some of thosespiffy penut butter chocolate no bakes and packaged them up and went to the Post Office to mail them off.  Well on the bulletin board there I happened to notice a recall for: PEANUT BUTTER!

so sorry DD, since I dont want you getting salmonella, no bomb for you right now

Colby, thanks for the thought anyway. My wife was baking the night they announced the recall and we had 3 jars of the stuff. She was trying to get me to go out at midnight to get more, but they were for here office & I don't really like them, so I said Naaaah. lol Actually, if I hadn't liked them a little more, I wouldn't have told her about the recall.

Do the No-bakes have PB in them?

yessir they do.  and the code matched the recall, and I remember Carrie getting sick after having some of the peanut butter.  While this is anecdotal, I dont wanna risk it.  Hopefully we can make a new batch at a later date.
