Iowa falls..
#1
Jerkass new Governor.  "Ohh uhh yeaa Lets raise the tax on Tobacco!  That will keep kids from smoking!"
Umm no.. It wont.  Hardly ANY teens that start smoking have ever paid for their first puff.  They are almost always free from others, stollen or other means.
But anyway now cigarettes will cost $1 more per pack.  Thats $10 more per carton.  I'm not sure if cigars and pipe tobacco are effected but that would be pretty stupid of him if it didn't include those.  Just a matter of time before Iowa goes the way of "statewide smoking ban"  or rather "State controlled Smoking ban"

Uggh.  Ok retyping.
Yea the tax is going to increase from $.36 (from 1991) to $1.36.
Other tobacco products are also effected, but I cant seem to find how much.

Soon you will be like us here in California with ridiculous tobacco tax and legislations that come up and want to raise it even higher

Not only do I not know what's going on, I wouldn't know what to do about it if I did.

Found out current tax on "other" tobacco products is 22% wholesale.  I cant find any information about what it will be after this tax raise is passed.
Certainly not as high as Minnesotas 70% wholesale tax on cigars. Confusedhock:

Whats the tax in CA, sergione?

"John McCain agrees with the Reagan philosophy that Americans are not taxed too little, but rather government spends too much. That is why John McCain has been a forceful advocate for smaller, more responsible government."
