Have you seen a good movie lately?
#21
I recently saw Ghostrider.  Not good, not bad.  I just tend to think if you're gonna cast Nick Cage in a movie you should use his quirky ass personality.  Not much of that here but okay for a comic book movie.  I was more excited about the new Fantastic Four trailer they showed before the movie.  Can you say Silver Surfer...

Also saw Bridges of who the hell really cares...  What a freakin' disappointment!  Hey here's an idea, if you're gonna market a movie as being a kid's flick ya may wanna warn the parents that the movie's gonna make your kids cry and ask very heavy life questions over happy meals afterwards.  Seriously, I was damned near crying myself.  You've all been warned!

Those are the only 2 I've seen in theatres lately.  Watched Casino Royale, that Robin Williams as president pile of steaming..., and a few others on planes lately.  Never really feel like I can jusdge a flick that way.  The constant gardener was good if you can deal with the Brits and their ways.  Borat was freakin' hilarious.  I too wasn't sure what to make of Clerks 2.  I just felt like they were making an omage to Clerks but the humor in this one was crudely offensive at times whereas the first one was just funny.

All I can say is Simpson's movie coming soon and the Transformers movie!  Oh yeah, I'm a product of the 80's!Big Grin

If you're interested in the case, see Zodiac. You might even like it if you're not even familiar with the case. My wife liked it, and she put a death grip on my arm a few times during the movie but one in particular.

If you're not familiar with the case, it is long, 2 1/2+ hours. It was well acted, and , to me, the story is fascinating.

We went to see Wild Hogs last night.  I was really prepared for this movie to suck ass, so when it didn't, I was happy.  I actually thought that those four worked really well together, and it was kinda funny.

I rented Crank a few weeks ago, and very much enjoyed that.  Nothing ike a movie based on the idea that the main character has to keep adrenaline pumping to stay alive, you just know you're in for a ride.

it was quite an interesting plot device that actually made the movie pretty enjoyable.  either that or the lg i was smoking while watching it did the trick.  not sure at this point. Smile

Children of Men.  Amazingly filmed, edited and acted. Michael Caine alone is worth the rental price. However, very violent at times, with a dark subject matter that is somewhat disturbing to say the least.  Not for children, nor some adults.
