That is sad to hear. Unfortunately I have responded to a handful of calls like this. Being stationed where I was back in the day there was an airport about 5 miles from my station. Being in my early twenties and seeing my first skydive accident changed my mind to dive and to keep my feet well planted on the ground. Yes they are far and few between but not for me. Hope it turns out well for him.
