.....and you like Comacho's.  I have two given as gifts of bombs.  I am awaiting Memorial Weekend Friday for the first one.

Maybe I just got a bad one, but it was pretty bland, and the burn sucked. I think I might call Robbie and get a couple more just to give them a chance.

EDIT: I am a camacho slut, but lately, thier smokes are not impressing me. First the liberty, then after that I had a new triple maduro and it was garbage too Sad

Eric at the Partysource bombed me with a 5pack sampler of Comacho's.  So many cigars so little time.  I finally somed a box pressed Brazilla that Skipper sent me in December.

Scott, the burn is the most difficult thing to keep even when making a barber pole cigar. It is in fact what you said, two different kinds of wrappers, two different speeds at which the cigar burns. Frankly, I dont know how some companies actually make even burns with barber poles, my guess its witch craft.

Also, for a cigar you thought was meh, you sure did Nub the sucker....I gues you were hoping to the cigar god that it would get good at the 1/2 ich mark.....lol

Not only do I not know what's going on, I wouldn't know what to do about it if I did.

Part of the requirements for reviewing on cigar command that I set for myself is to smoke the cigar until I just can't stand it anymore.  This one wasn't good, but it wasn't bad, so I kept smoking it. Smile

This was not my experience with the '07 Liberty at all, though I will say I preferred the '06. Strooooong cigar, that '06! Confusedhock:

I would classify my first '07 as "a revelation" and my second one as "just good, not that special." Given the range between those two benchmarks, and your impressions, I'm wondering if the batch is a bit more variable, or a bit more subject to variations in temp and humidity, than it really ought to be. :?

Its very possibly NANP.. Im not really sure.  I think I am gonna call Robbie in a day or two, and have him send me a couple more to try.  I don't usually review cigars based on ONE cigar, so maybe I need to smoke another?

When I smoked my first Libery 2007 I thought it was the best Camacho I'd ever had.  I since have gone back to the Diploma as my favorite, with the 10th anniversary being a close second (despite the difference in strength).  I still like the 2007 Liberty, though.  It is supposedly based off the triple maduro blend, and being one who doesn't smoke a lot of maduros, I like that liberty a lot more than the triple maduro.

What I'm REALLY looking forward to is the 2008 Liberty.  I saw them being rolled when I was at Camacho's factory in Honduras in Feb. and March.  They will be box-pressed.  Christian has not confirmed this, but I am suspecting that it is based off the blend for the 10th anniversary, as most libertys are based off the blend of whatever that year's (if any) new release is.  I ordered a ton of the 2008s.  Hopefully they will sell really well, but, if not, I'm sure I won't be too disappointed having to smoke all of them Tongue.  Below is a pic of some fresh rolled 2008 libertys, before being box pressed:
