I was eating ghost chilis semi-dried (sort of like sun dried tomatoes) when I had a cold and sinus infection..
I went to bed and sweat it out the bug. It helped!

I know Jimmie scoffed at the idea, I have a natural nasal spray i use once in a while. Made from pepper
