Just thought I would share what I did this weekend.
Yesterday I went down to the Niagara river,caught this sailboat coming through the Black Rock canal (runs parallel to the fast river)with the lift bridge up.

This is the Peace Bridge,the other side is Canada,very fast cuurent 25 knots I think.

Today after a cookout at moms house,I went to the local park for my walk and ran across some ducks.

Then I went to see my friend blues band, Electras, play at Veterans park.
He is Phil "the blues" Smith on lead guitar,Don "Muddy" Rudder on rhythm guitar and Doug "Shaky leg" Thorton on harp.

And those would not be ducks Don. Those would be geese.
I cannot believe that their gosslings are so large already. Our geese here in ND have not even hatched yet.

Our migrant geese flew in on their normal time. Funny to see them walking around on ice with nowhere to swim for the longest time. And Mama Goose trying to make a nest in the snow!
Usually by this time of year the gosslings are swimming about. Not yet though.
